The third ranked Ohio State Buckeyes have their first big test of the 2016 season when they hit the road to face Oklahoma. The Sooners where ranked third in the nation when the year started, but a loss to Houston dropped them from the top-10. A win this week would put them back in the playoff picture and put a damper on the Buckeyes season.
This should be one of the best games of the weekend and with both offense playing at a high level, it will likely be a big defensive play that turns the momentum. Look for Urabn Meyer to have his squad ready and return back to Columbus with a win under their belt.
Michigan and head coach Jim Harbaugh have made plenty of headlines over the last few months, but the team has backed up everything with a 2-0 record to start the year. The Wolverines will have a tougher test against PAC 12 foe Colorado on Saturday, but despite the resurgence of the Buffaloes program, look for a 3-0 start for the ‘Big Blue’.
Nebraska has looked solid to begin the year, but it will be tested at home against Oregon. The Cornhuskers faithful will need to be loud and the defense will need to play their best game of the year to earn a victory, but the Ducks offense should prove its worth and win a shootout in Lincoln.
Michigan State struggled in their opening win over Furman and will need a much-better performance this weekend against Notre Dame. Both programs are ranked, but haven’t played to expectations. DeShone Kizer has more experience and is one of the best quarterbacks in college football and that will likely cost the Spartans their first loss of the season in week three.
The Big Ten conference has a chance to make a real statement this weekend and if all goes right, they will be ranked ahead of the SEC as the best in college football.
