2017 NFL Mock Draft: Mitch Trubisky best QB option for Bears?

Offensively the team has moved the ball well in the middle of the field, but have struggled in the red zone and putting the ball in the end zone. The carousel at quarterback hasn’t helped either and that has led experts to suggest a change is coming and it could start with taking a new signal caller in next year’s draft.

Walter Football is among the best sources on the Internet for draft junkies and their latest mock has the front office using its first round pick on Clemson’s Deshaun Watson. His ability to run the football makes him a terrific option, but some poor decisions this season have some questioning if he’s ready to play at the professional level.

Watson has plenty of upside and has all the skills sets needed to succeed, but with just two years of college experience, could management go another direction?

Ryan McCrystal of Bleacher Report has another possibility with the suggestion North Carolina QB Mitch Trubisky as the answer. The 6’3″ 220 pound junior is having a terrific season with the Tar Heels. With a completion percentage over 70 percent and just two interceptions on the year, Trubisky is quickly climbing the NFL Draft player rankings and has moved himself into the top-5 quarterbacks available next year.

It’s still early and things will change, especially when general managers are able to talk with these young men. Chicago is clearly in need of a change and these two youngsters could become the next face of the franchise for the Bears — and for the fans, hopefully he could become the player that leads this team to a Super Bowl.
