What a start to the 2016 NFL season! With ten teams heading into week six unbeaten or with just one loss, the season is only going to get better as the year moves forward.
This weeks schedule has a number of terrific games on tap. It all gets started on Thursday nights nationally televised contest between the hard-luck San Diego Chargers and Denver.
The Bolts have help a second half lead in every game this season, but have just one win for their troubles. The Broncos will look to rebound at home from their first loss of the season and keep pace with Oakland in the race for the AFC West crown.
Philadelphia and rookie quarterback Carson Wentz are one of the best stories in the league. This week the Eagles hit the road to face division rival Washington, a must win game for both teams, especially with the hot start by Dallas. The Redskins have played better football the last two weeks and will need to continue that momentum in one of the best early season games thus far in 2016.
Sunday's clash between Kansas City and Oakland is one of the leagues best rivalries and with both teams in the hunt for the playoffs, it makes this game even more important for both sides. The Raiders are this year's version of the cardiac kids, winning several games in the final minute of action, while the Chiefs are coming off a bye and looking to rebound off a disastrous trip to Pittsburgh last weekend.
Atlanta at Seattle is the highlight of week six with two of the hottest teams in the NFL set to battle. The Falcons are coming off a big win in Denver, improving to 4-1 and rolling up the yards on offense. The Seahawks are 3-1 and finally playing like the experts predicted before the season began, making for a strength versus strength contest that could have huge playoff ramifications, despite being an early season game.
Sunday night has Andrew Luck and his Colts hitting the road to face AFC South rival Houston. Indianapolis is 2-3 on the year, but could move into a tie in the division with a win over the 3-2 Texans and while it won't have a big buildup nationally, this game should be entertaining and has playoff implications.
Monday nights game has the NY Jets facing Arizona in a game with two teams that are among the biggest disappointments in 2016. New York has just one win on the season and a win in the desert is unexpected, but the Cardinals are just 2-3 and need a win badly to keep their Super Bowl aspirations alive.
