2015 NFL Mock Draft: Latest first round projections and analysis

While quarterbacks will likely be the first two players taken in April, the latest mocks from football experts have upwards of six wide receivers likely to be taken in the first round.

Teams like the NY Jets and Miami Dolphins are sure to look for help in the draft, but rumors also have the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots also looking for new targets for their star signal callers.

The latest from Walterfootball has Alabama All-American Amari Cooper headed to New York as the Jets look to find some added help for Geno Smith. Miami is slotted to take Kevin White from West Virginia, especially if the Dolphins decide to release Mike Wallace, but the later picks in the first round are where things get interesting.

New England and Seattle have both reached the Super Bowl without a star wide receiver and for these teams to keep up their winning ways, adding depth and talent at the position is necessary.

The Patriots haven’t had a big play wide out since Randy Moss and while Tom Brady and company have done a great job moving the football, adding some speed on the outside could make this team unstoppable. The latest mocks have Ohio State speedster Devin Smith as a possibility. His speed could stretch opposing defenses and his ability to return kicks makes him a perfect fit in New England.

Percy Harvin was supposed to be the big play guy with the Seahawks, but his off field actions resulted in a trade and help is still needed. With Marshaun Lynch likely playing his last game in the Pacific Northwest, QB Russell Wilson will need some help. Walterfootball has Sammie Coates from Auburn as the player that could help the wide receiving corp and with his speed and athleticism, the type of player Seattle hasn’t had at the position in franchise history.
