Ann and Nancy Wilson will be bringing this tour to 39 cities. Elle King will open the majority of their shows, and their special musical guests will include Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Sheryl Crow and Brandi Carlile on select dates.
Ann shared that they have known Sheryl Crow and Joan Jett for a long time, and they noted that they are fans of each other's music. Ann described Elle King as her "favorite new artist," and she praised three-time Grammy winner Brandi Carlile for being "authentic and fresh."
On the idea to name this tour "Love Alive," Ann noted that it is derived from a "song," as well as a "sentiment" that goes back a long way with the Wilson sisters. Ann added that it has an optimistic, hopeful and universal vibe that they feel will be the essence of this tour.
Nancy acknowledged that she and Ann felt good about naming the tour "Love Alive," and she praised their song "Love Alive" for being "very cool." Ann revealed that they are coming to this tour with "fresh energy and oxygen."
The "Love Alive" Tour will mark the Wilson sisters' first tour in three years. Within that time gap, both sisters worked on different musical projects. "Things had just reached a heavy climax," Nancy said and added that working with her other group Roadcase Royale was a "life-saver" for her.
Ann shared that the "Love Alive" Tour will be quite different than any other previous Heart tour. While it will consist of their greatest hits, Ann described it as a "new animal." Nancy concurred and noted that this tour should feel, look and sound bigger than any of their previous tours.
Due to their elaborate catalog of songs, Heart will be performing songs in front of long-time fans as well as newer listeners. For Ann, it's a good feeling when they see the crowd's eyes light up whenever they perform one of their smash hits that everybody knows and loves. Ann added that she is very "grateful and amazed" with the connection the band has with their diverse audience.
Nancy stated that it is an "incredible feeling" to see their diehard fans and the younger generation of Heart fans at their concerts. She is proud of the fact that their live music is authentic with no tracks blended in and no use of auto-tune or pre-recorded vocals. "It's completely real," Nancy explained.
