His set was met with an excellent turnout of fans, and the video-boards for all of his songs were impressive and magnificent. He kicked it off with "Falling" and it was followed by "Vibe" and "Out of my Mind." "New York. How are you guys doing out there?" Alesso asked, and immediately broke into "Under Control," his stunning collaboration with Calvin Harris.
Equally catchy was his version of "More Than You Know" by Axwell and Ingrosso. He incorporated "Take My Breath Away" as a mash-up with "Dreamer," which was crisp and haunting.

"Cool" was a great deal of fun, as everybody was singing along to its chorus, and it was followed by his latest single "Remedy," which garnered a rave review from Digital Journal, and rightfully so. "How are you doing?" he asked, and the audience responded with raucous chants.
One of the most emotional parts of his show was his moving tribute to the late electronic superstar Avicii, which brought many to tears. He played Avicii's smash hit "Wake Me Up," which was poignant. "Put your hands up in the air for the Swedish DJ Avicii," Alesso said, thus honoring his late friend.
It was followed by Past Malone's "I Fall Apart" and his remix of "Drowning," which was accompanied by pyrotechnics. "If I Lose Myself" was mid-tempo and liberating, and he had the fans jumping in the air. "New York," he exclaimed.
"New York, what a beautiful night you've given me," Alesso said, effusively. He encouraged the fans to put their hands up in the air, as well as to hold up their phones.
His live version of "Heroes," his collaboration with Tove Lo was pure ear candy, and equally refreshing was upbeat "Calling (Lose My Mind)," where Alesso left his fans and listeners yearning for more.
The Verdict
Overall, Alesso was spectacular at Electric Zoo for the electronic festival's 10th anniversary. The Swedish electronic mega-star had the New York crowd in the palm of his hand and he commanded the main stage well for his entire 80-minute set. His live set garnered an A rating.
His new single "Remedy" is available on iTunes.
