On his new single, "Dancin'," he said, "I really wanted to make a fun, energetic, danceable, club-friendly song, and it's a feel-good song."
He revealed that his album should be released by the end of the summer. Lately, he has started putting together his live shows with his dancers. "I really want to have a fun, creative performance," he said. "I want to create a fun environment for the audience, where they feel like they are grooving and dancing with me and the dancers. I am excited to continue getting on stage in different venues in Los Angeles."
Digital transformation of music business
On the impact of technology on the music business, Cola said, "Music is becoming so easily and readily available to people. It is actually great since music should be something that people should have access to. It is soothing for people's souls. It is a beautiful thing that is becoming so accessible, and it's a great new wave in technology."
Regarding his use of technology in his music routine, he said, "In the production of music, everything is digital based. With the programs that we have now and with a simple keyboard, we can really make any sound that we really want. We can also make a vast array of music that can target so many different genres, and it's all done in a digital platform and it's very cool."
Cola listed Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears as his dream collaboration choices in music. "I would love to record with Justin Timberlake, since I love his music. I love Britney Spears' voice, since it's sexy," he said.
