This marks his 12th career No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts. The soothing song is a track from his sixth studio album, Summer Forever, which was released on Mercury Nashville. Two of his previous radio singles from that project, "Don't It," and "It Don't Hurt Liked It Used To," also reached the top of the Billboard country charts.
Currington's infectious single "Do I Make You Wanna" was produced by Dann Huff, and co-penned by such songwriters as Ashley Gorley, Zach Crowell, Matt Jenkins, and Jerry Flowers. The song was well-received when he performed it live at The Paramount in Huntington on May 12, during his headlining show, as part of his "Stay Up Til The Sun" Tour.
