Review: Sam Kendricks unstoppable at IAAF Diamond League in Paris, France Special

On July 1, American pole vaulter Sam Kendricks competed at the IAAF Diamond League men's pole vault event in Paris, where he continued to triumph with a well-deserved win.

A 2016 Olympic bronze medalist in Rio de Janeiro, Kendricks took home first place with a clearance of 5.82 meters. He left indoor world record holder and Olympic silver medalist Renaud Lavillenie in second place with 5.62 meters, and 2015 World Champion Shawn Barber in third place with 5.62 meters.
Last week, on June 24, Kendricks set a personal best in pole vault with 6.00 meters at the U.S. Championships, where he won his seventh consecutive USATF Outdoor Championship title.
In addition, Kendricks won first place in the Diamond League in Eugene, Oregon, for the Prefontaine Classic, and in Shanghai, China.
