A Country Music Hall of Famer and Grammy winner, Bare was ranked No. 43 on the Rolling Stone list, which included many of his close friends and collaborators such as Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings.
In addition, he was featured on a major Sirius XM Special, for his new album Things Change, which garnered favorable reviews from music critics, including one from Adrian Peel from Digital Journal.
The new CD is comprised of 10 tracks that were co-penned by Bare, as well as other songwriters such as Hoyt Axton, Mary Gauthier, Guy Clark and the producer of the album, singer-songwriter Max T. Barnes. It includes a collaboration on Bare's iconic hit, "Detroit City," with Chris Stapleton.
Throughout his career in the country scene, which exceeds five decades, he has secured chart-topping singles such as "Detroit City," "500 Miles," and "Shame On Me," among others. Bare has been hailed as the "Bruce Springsteen of Country Music." In 2013, he was inducted into the coveted Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
