Over the years, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has inducted Lynynrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers Band, but their most noticeable southern rock omission is the Marshall Tucker Band.

The Marshall Tucker Band was founded 45 years ago in Spartanburg, South Carolina. They are known for such smash hits as "Can't You See," "Fire on the Mountain," "24 Hours at a Time," as well as "Can't You See." They are a quintuple gold-selling and triple-platinum-selling southern rock group.
Their music has been featured in such feature films and television shows as Breaking Bad, Blow, Swing Vote, Half Nelson and My Name Is Earl, among many others.
CMT (Country Music Television) honored the band's signature tune "Can't You See" at No. 4 on its "Greatest Southern Rock Song" list. In 2013, Ultimate Classic Rock crowned "Can't You See" as the No. 1 "Southern Rock Song."
Their songs ("Can't You See" and "Heard It In a Love Song") are still covered by some of the biggest artists today, including Eric Church.
Florida Georgia Line, Lee Brice, Drew Baldridge and Hank Williams Jr. have all given the Marshall Tucker Band shout-outs in their popular songs. Marshall Tucker Band continues to tour constantly, and their shows are sold-out every night all over the country. In New York, they play regularly at B.B. King Blues Club, NYCB Theatre at Westbury, The Paramount, Jones Beach Theater and Empire City Casino. They still play with a great deal of passion.
Lead singer and original member Doug Gray deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, along with Jerry Eubanks and Paul Riddle, as well as the late Marshall Tucker Band members Tommy Caldwell, George McCorkle and Toy Caldwell. This honor would be the ultimate tribute to their musical legacy.
