On his radio single, "Just Another Day In The Country," Solar said, "I wrote that song with two of my best buds. We were down in Mississippi on a writing and fishing trip and we decided to write about what we were doing. It was a redneck anthem, and once I started singing it live, everybody was digging it at the shows. We put it on the record and it is doing really well on secondary radio. We got in the Top 40 on the Music Row charts, and it seems to be climbing and that's really exciting."
His new live EP, No Sleep Till Nashville, is available on Spotify. "We put out an EP in the spring of last year and we wanted some new content. We played at the Wildhorse and they told us they could record the show if we wanted to, and when we got the tracks, they sounded pretty good. We decided to put half of the songs out on the EP," Solar said. "I think it is really cool to have that out. It gives people a little taste of what we sound like live."
Solar shared that growing up, The Marshall Tucker Band, was a musical influence for him. "I did love The Marshall Tucker Band," he admitted. "They are amazing, and I played 'Can't You See' at every show I've ever done since I was a little kid. I love them."
Solar listed Miranda Lambert, Emmylou Harris and Alison Krauss as his dream female duet choices. "Miranda Lambert is so bad-ass and Emmylou is so amazing. Alison Krauss has one of my favorite voices of all time," he said.
