The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) initiated a Class 1 recall by MIH Sales and Marketing, Inc., a Beebe, AR company after an Office of Investigation, Enforcement and Audits (OIEA) inspector discovered that the meat products were being stored under unsanitary conditions.
The inspector discovered rat feces in the storage areas on the property, and some of the items tested positive for alkaline phosphatase, indicating evidence of fecal matter. The FSIS had the owner of the company halt the delivery of products in the facility and a recall was issued for the meats already delivered.

MIH Sales and Marketing is not a meat producer or packer. MIH Sales and Marketing operates as a carrier company, or middle-man, hauling anything from general freight to waste and chemicals, in addition to fresh produce, meats, and livestock.
Basically, it is a "for-profit" corporation owned and run by a husband and wife team.
