On performing at The Paramount, founding member Dennis DelGaudio said, "It feels good. I grew up on Long Island. It feels like home. It's a beautiful venue, and we are glad to be here for sure."
They opened for Grammy-winning country star LeAnn Rimes.

Catherine Porter noted that their song "City Boy" is about "a day in the life of a concrete cowboy." "It's one of the first songs that I heard when I auditioned for the band, since they already wrote it, and I knew it was going to be a single," Porter said.
When asked about the origin of the band name Shotgun Wedding, DelGaudio said, "A friend of ours had the idea for the name of the band. We sat down and she came up with the name, and we liked it. The whole thing came together organically."
Aside from DelGaudio and Porter, Shotgun Wedding is also made up of Wade Preston delivered on piano, Andy Cichon on bass, and Chuck Burgi on drums.
