Regarding her live experience at Stagecoach yesterday, she said, "It was crazy good, and so much fun."
She has been hailed by Country Music Television (CMT) as one of its "Next Women of Country," which was quite flattering for Collins. "That was a huge honor. It is so cool what CMT does, with just bringing women in and supporting us. That was amazing to be up there with women that I look up to," she exclaimed.
Her plans for the future include making a new full-length album, which she is excited to release on her record label, Curb Records. "I have been living in the studio basically, and I'm just loving it. There will be a lot more music. It is exciting right now," she said.
Her dream male collaboration choices include Tom Petty, as well as Chris Stapleton and Eric Church. "Chris and Eric are amazing. I also like classic male artists. I am a big fan of them," she said.
Collins also offered a moving quote on the late country legend Merle Haggard. "Merle was such a prolific artist, and that was super sad, but we are all so blessed to be in an industry that he really made great. Rest in peace Merle," she said.
"Thank you for hanging in there with me," Collins said, for her fans. "We are working really hard on the new music, and I never felt more supported in my life by my fans, and I feel really lucky to be here and to be able to make music for them."
