The most talked-about moment of last night's Grammys may be Beck winning the Grammy for Album of the Year. Not just because he beat out a big crop of competitors, but because Kanye West almost interrupted his speech.

Sunday night, Kanye West almost repeated an infamous 2009 incident when Beck won the Album of the Year Grammy award for Morning Phase.
West got up from his seat and jumped onto the stage to the surprise of Beck. West, however, just smiled and went back to his seat without saying anything. In 2009, he grabbed the mic from Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Awards, suggesting that Beyoncé should have taken the award over Swift.
While some thought West pulled the stunt as a joke, he later expanded on the incident in an interview with E. He suggested that Beck should give his award to Beyoncé to "respect artistry."
He went on to criticize the Grammys in general and said "they need to stop playing with us."
What came later was Beck's response to all of this, once he heard what West had to say in the interview.
At a Universal Music Group after party, he said, ""I was just so excited he was coming up. "He deserves to be on stage as much as anybody."
Beck went on to say that he was surprised he won the Album of the Year honour, which put him in competition with Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Pharrell and, of course, Beyoncé.
