This was disclosed by Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz who said that Pacquiao is under contract for two fights in 2015.
Pacquiao has a live contract with Top Rank until end of 2016 and most likely he will retire after his contract expires.
Koncz also revealed that one of the two fights Pacquiao will do this year will be held in Macau, China while the other will most likely be held in the US.
Pacquiao has fought twice in Macau first against Brandon Rios for his comeback fight following his devastating loss to Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012 and against Chris Algieri last Nov. 22, knocking down the former unbeaten American at least six times to win via a unanimous decision.
Arum is yet to disclose the result of his backdoor negotiation with Mayweather by working with Leslie Moonves of CBS/Showtime, the network that holds a $250 million 6-fight contract with Mayweather.
Arum said that here has been a slow movement in the ongoing talks saying that no one knows until the contract is signed.
“The talks are slow, but at least there is movement.” Arum told Ronnie Nathanielz of Manila Standard. “Until a deal is made and contracts signed, we’ll never know,” Arum added.
Mayweather has earlier agreed to fight Pacquiao after five years of negotiations but did not disclose the details of his acceptance saying only that he wants to fight Pacquiao on May 2.
Arum objected to the May 2 date set by Mayweather saying the date will complicate matters as it will coincide with Cinco de Mayo Mexican independence day celebration.
Arum and promoter Oscar de la Hoya have targeted May 2 as a date for a potential fight between Mexican star Canelo Alvarez and Rican Miguel Cotto.
The longtime Pacquiao promoter suggested to move the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight in June this year but Mayweather has rejected it.
