The LAPD were called to their upscale apartment after neighbours heard a woman screaming early this morning, and then heard up to 10 shots being fired. When they arrived, police found the two both already dead inside.
Reports say that Hayes, 36, called his close friend, boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., and had him on Facetime as he was yelling at his wife over alleged infidelity with a singer.
TMZ reports that an unnamed source told them that Mr. Mayweather Jr. saw the actual shootings, and that is being reported elsewhere, too. TMZ has also reported that Mayweather was pleading with his friend not to kill Moseley and himself when the shots were fired.
After viewing the violence unfold in front of his eyes and being unable to stop it he is said to be in shock; he has not spoken to media about the tragedy.
The 30-year-old Moseley starred in the VH1 networks' cheerleader drama Hit the Floor and was preparing to return to set for a third season. From Vancouver, Moseley also acted in other TV productions and in movies.
Her first love was dancing, however, and she toured as a dancer with Janet Jackson, Chris Brown Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce and Brittany Spears.
Brown sent out a tweet about her death: "RIP baby girl," he wrote. "Danced with me on tour and was always the coolest person. My prayers go out to you and HAZE family."
