Lyons either writes or co-writes all of her songs and she films the best female music videos in the modern country genre. Her breakthrough EP consisted of five stellar tracks that could vie any female artist on the radio such as her lead single "Everything Tonight," the catchy "Fightin' Over Me" and the bittersweet ballad "Boston," proving her wide range as a singer-songwriter.
Lyons' vocals are refreshing and warm, reminiscent of Taylor Swift meets Kellie Pickler meets Kimberly Perry from The Band Perry.
This summer, Lyons released two of her singles digitally and they caught the attention of Digital Journal, placing her song "Jeep!" in the "Top Summer Anthem Country Songs," and her single "#PartyRules" in the "Top 5 Country Songs by New Female Artists" list.
The Verdict
While country radio only seems to be playing two female artists at the moment (Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert), they ought to make room for more Elizabeth Lyons. She has done everything independently, yet she is able to captivate thousands doing so, ranging from music critics to fans to her peers in the industry.
