An Oregon man was carrying his brand new handgun that he bought when he was approached and robbed by a guy who had his own gun.
According to KPTV, the incident occurred around 2:10 a.m. on Saturday near 172nd and Glisan Street in Gresham.
The 21-year-old man, who purchased the Walther P22 earlier in the day, was approached by another young make who was wearing grey sweatpants, a white t-shirt and flip-flops. According to CBS, the man asked for a cigarette.
According to Washington Times, the victim, who was with his cousin during the incident, said that after he was asked for a cigarette, a gun was drawn and the guy told him that he liked his gun. He ordered the victim to hand it over, which he did.
Police say that after the victim handed his gun to the robber, the robber took off on foot.
The robber is described as being about 6-foot-1 and clean cut with just a small patch of hair on his chin with hair that is short, black and wavy. The gun the robber had was described as a black one, and it could have possibly been a semi-automatic.
As of now police haven't caught anyone and they are still looking for a suspect.
