Thirty Seconds to Mars up for MTV EMA 'Best Alternative' award

Jared Leto and his rock band, Thirty Seconds to Mars, are up for a 2014 MTV Europe Music Award (EMA) for "Best Alternative" act.

They are nominated along with such musical acts as Fall Out Boy, Lana Del Rey, Lorde and Paramore.
Most recently, as Digital Journal reported, Leto and his band had celebrated a musical milestone with their latest single "Do or Die." It reached the Top 20 on the alternative charts, and the best part was they they accomplished that without the help of a record label.

Anybody who has seen them perform live on "The Carnivores" tour with rock group Linkin Park, can attest that Thirty Seconds to Mars is more than deserving for this accolade. Their concert at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York, was summed up as "amazing."
