Man killed by wood chipper in Phoenix, AZ

The Chandler Police Department is reporting a man was caught in a wood chipper and has been killed. The death is believed to be an accident.

ABC 15 in Arizona is reporting an unknown man from has been killed after an accident involving an industrial wood chipper at a Chandler, AZ business.
According to police they received a call regarding the grotesque incident Thursday morning at 10:15 A.M. Police arrived to the scene at Freeway Chevrolet, on Ray road and the Interstate-10, and found the man was already deceased.
The Chandler Fire Department confirmed the victim suffered significant injuries and was decapitated in the incident. A portable wood chipper was seen attached to a landscaping vehicle, a blanket over the back of the wood chipper appeared to cover the body of the victim.
It has been confirmed the deceased was an employee of Phoenix Trim-A-Tree, a small landscaping business operating locally. The company website displays photos and videos of men using industrial-size wood chippers.
Phoenix Trim-A-Tree are likely grieving from the loss of an employee and friend and have not yet responded to e-mail requests for public comment. We at Digital Journal offer our condolences and ask that readers and the public give the company and family privacy in this difficult time.
Police Detective Seth Tyler publicly stated he believes this to be an accidental death. No further comment was available, and an investigation is ongoing.
