The song was requested by a fan and she dusted it the song and gave it her own piano-driven rendition, as seen on her YouTube channel. The video was filmed in black and white, and she is accompanied with minimal guitar instrumentation.
She commences the song slowly, taking her time to stresses the emotion in the moving lyrics, which were co-written by Christina Perri and Martin Johnson (from the pop-rock band Boys Like Girls). When she reaches the song's chorus, her voice blossoms and she hits the high notes effortlessly. Her vocals are crystalline, impressive and she showcases her trademark pipes, which proves that she has one of the most powerful female voices in country, along with Carrie Underwood, Cassadee Pope and Martina McBride. One will forget that Bradbery is only 18 years old, singing this tune. She proves to have an old soul, and she sings in perfect pitch.
The Verdict
Danielle Bradbery does a stellar cover of Christina Perri's "Human." Blake Shelton, who mentored her while she was on the reality singing competition The Voice, would smile upon this astonishing version. She deserves an A rating.
