A UK woman has managed to fail her driving theory test a staggering 110 times without yet being allowed to attempt the practical portion.

Anorak reports that the 28-year-old woman, whose name has not been released to media, is a resident of Southwark in southeast London and has paid a total of £3,410 for a test that covers the basic rules and dangers of the road. Each attempt has cost her £31.
Anorak goes on further to explain that the theory portion consists of 50 multiple choice questions and requires a person to answer 43 correctly in order to pass. The computerized test immediately notifies a person if they have given an incorrect answer.
AutoBlog Canada states the UK Department of Transport has reported that only roughly half the people who took the theory and practical tests passed within the first three months of 2014, which may indicate that the tests are exceedingly difficult.
Failing the driver's test on multiple attempts is nothing new in the UK. News.com.au reports that a 30-year-old man from Peterborough has failed the theory portion 86 times while it took a 41-year-old Birmingham man 80 attempts to pass. As far as the practical portion goes, it took a 40-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent 37 times to pass.
There is no word on whether or not the London woman, who is believed to hold the record for most failed attempts, plans to try taking the test again.
