A new Kickstarter project promises to give you the flavor of chocolate with none of the calories. Their new approach to sweets for those on a diet is getting some huge news in the press.

As some of you have probably already guessed there is no way to get zero calories in traditional chocolate. That's why they are creating flavor strips. Think of the dental strips which dissolve on the roof of your mouth. Only instead of releasing cavity-fighting compounds they release the flavor of chocolate.
The idea is that by getting the flavor of your craving in your mouth you will be able to resist urges for the real thing. While the scientific basis behind this is still being studied the creators say that their product really works.
Unfortunately at the time of this writing the project itself has raised only $4,405 of the $40,000 needed to make it a reality. If this seems like your sort of diet aid then you can always pledge to it yourself on their Kickstarter page. Those who donate can get product samples and the top donator gets to advertise on the package. If nothing else the project is interesting enough to take a look at.
