A Houston middle-school teacher faces criminal charges after performing a lap dance on one of her male students for his birthday.
Ironically, peer pressure got the best of this educator.
Felicia Smith, 42, is accused of having an improper relationship with a student after performing a “full-contact lap dance” on a 15-year-old boy.
According to reports, the student was ushered into the classroom by the Stovall Middle School teacher in February of this year, and made to sit down in a chair in front of the rest of the class. Music started playing and Smith then proceeded to engage in an intimate dance with her student; several times throughout the dance, Smith alleges to have “lost her balance” and had fallen into his lap.
There is also recorded video footage showing Smith touching the student all over his body, putting her head between his legs, and allowing the student to smack her on the behind. At the end of the dance, Smith stood up and hugged the student, saying “I love you, baby. Happy Birthday”. The entire incident lasted approximately four minutes.
The student later admitted to becoming "aroused" by the routine, according to the official police report. The teacher has since been removed from the school and has not returned.
Smith told Aldine Independent School Dictrict authorities that she only performed the lap dance because her students convinced her to do it. When asked if it was a mistake or a misunderstanding, Smith replied, “No comment”.
Smith is out on $30,000 bond.
