Whedon's new movie is In Your Eyes, and it has been made available for download for $5 via the video streaming website Vimeo. The director made the announcement in a specially prepared video for the channel.
In the message, Whedon states: "It's not just the world premiere of the film, it's the worldwide release date, because as of now, In Your Eyes is available on any internet-cable device."
The movie is the second release from Whedon's "micro studio" Bellwether Pictures, after 2013's Much Ado About Nothing. Whedon wrote and produced In Your Eyes; the movie was directed by Brin Hill.
In Your Eyes is a supernatural love story, starring Zoe Kazan and Michael Stahl-David as strangers who believe they share a telepathic connection, according to Hollywood Reporter.
Joss Whedon has been involved with a new of cult genre shows and movies, including Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Dollhouse, Firefly, Cabin In The Woods, and The Avengers.
The release of the movie via Vimeo is good for the channel, Vimeo is much smaller than YouTube. Vimeo was founded in November 2004 by Jake Lodwick and Zach Klein.
