The Toronto Raptors' hopes of hosting a first round NBA Playoff series were kept alive on Wednesday night as center Jonas Valanciunas had a double-double to help lead his team to a 125-114 victory over the struggling Philadelphia 76ers.

Valanciunas scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the game and Kyle Lowry returned to action, scoring a game-high 29 points as Toronto improved to 46-32 and keeping hold of third place in the Eastern Conference.
Lowry missed the last three games with a bruised knee and Valanciunas was playing just a couple of days after being charged with drunk driving, but despite the win, it wasn't all good news for Toronto.
Starting forward Amir Johsnon missed his fourth straight contest with an injury and shooting guard Demar DeRozan left the game late in the fourth quarter with a cut over his eye.
Center Henry Sims led the 76ers, scoring 22 points and adding eight rebounds. Point guard Michael Carter-Williams added 19 points, a team high nine rebounds, and eight assists as Philadelphia dropped to 17-61.
With just a handful of games left in the 2013-14 NBA season, Toronto played one of their better games on the offensive end of the court this season, good news for the franchise and its fans as they look to build some momentum heading into the post-season.
