They were in the "Video of the Year" category for his collaboration with Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift for "Highway Don't Care," as well as for "Vocal Event of the Year" for "We Were Us," his chart-topping single and duet with country songstress Miranda Lambert (who was named "Female Vocalist of the Year" for the fifth consecutive time).
Both of these awards were announced in the pre-telecast of the ACM awards, so no live speech was made; however, thanks to social media, he shared his excitement for the "Vocal Event" win via Twitter. "Thank you thank you THANK YOU to everyone who voted for @mirandalambert & me... absolutely blown away with this honor!!!!!! - KU," Urban tweeted to his followers.
Urban's current single "Cop Car" is already a Top 15 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, sitting at No. 13, and it is making its way up the charts.
