A light-hearted look at the odd events happening in the world. Today includes a job application gone wrong, a clown fund-raising event, and a look at who won the award for the smelliest shoes in the U.S.

Clowns unusually promote a family-friendly event
The photo in this report was used to promote "Klownfest", an annual fund-raising event held in Maine. The group of clowns showed up wearing a lot more clothing and make-up and entertained children. The clowns also earned points towards their Clown College.
Award for "Smelliest Shoes" goes to a 12-year-old girl
Jordan Armstrong from Mexico has won the "smelliest shoe" competition held in the U.S. The 12-year-old girl beat out the competition by wearing the running shoes, held together by duct tape, for two years. She won $2500 and a $1500 New York weekend trip.
Applying for jobs gone wrong
Imagine how this job-hunter felt when he released he had sent a picture of his private area attached to his application. It's not clear whether the attachment was sent in error or not, however the sender is looking at being convicted of a misdemeanor. Texas Workforce Solutions in Dallas, who received the application, referred the matter to the police.
Monkeys prove they are human-like
It appears that we are not that different from monkeys after all. This series of photos shows a group of monkeys flossing their teeth and even toasting marshmallows over a camp-fire that they made their selves.
Cute Alert!
Nothing could be more adorable than these puppies sleeping with their stuffed animals.
