Paul George was key in victory, scoring a team high 23 points, hauling down eight rebounds, and contributing four assists before the home crowd. The Pacers had four of their five starters score in double figures and despite a poor shooting night from the floor, Indiana improved to 52-20 and opened a three game lead over Miami with just 12 contests left to play in the regular season.
LeBron James was a one man wrecking crew for the Heat, scoring a game high 38 points and grabbing a team high eight rebounds, but the best player in the NBA couldn't win the game by himself. Dwyane Wade was the only other player to score more than eight points as the All Star guard added 15.
Miami was able to keep the game close for all four quarters with some strong defense, blocking nine shots as a team, but turnovers were the key in this contest and the Pacers came up big, forcing 18, while having just ten themselves.
These two sides still have one more meeting, but Indiana could have the conference title and home court advantage wrapped up soon, making the April 11 contest in Miami meaningless.
