The Oakland Raiders will apparently enter the 2014 NFL season with a new starting quarterback, but it's still not clear if that will be a veteran signal caller or a rookie.

ESPN has reported that several teams from around the league should give Josh Freeman a look. The 26-year-old has had a tough go over the last 12 months, but his skills and ability should get the former Minnesota Vikings and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback another look this season.
Rumors from Bleacher Report have the former first round draft pick getting some interest from the Bay Area and CSN reporter Scott Bair has suggested the team won't go the direction of another rookie quarterback in 2014.
That's a bit of a surprise since several football experts have the team taking a QB in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft, but whatever direction they go, it's becoming clear that management doesn't have much confidence in Terrelle Pryor, who started most of last season for Oakland.
Freeman struggled with the coaching changes in Tampa and never really had the confidence needed in Minnesota, but a full training camp this summer with a team like Oakland should help the youngster get his mojo back and it could be the best move the Raiders make this NFL off-season.
