A Michigan woman is behind bars after being arrested Saturday for allegedly biting part of her boyfriend's ear off during a heated domestic dispute.
Danielle Nebelung, 31, of Macomb Township was apprehended by police at around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday after officers responded to a call about a domestic violence incident at the home the suspect shared with her boyfriend, 36-year-old Anthony Caruso.
Caruso told officers Nebelung attacked him in his bedroom, punching his face and head as he attempted to flee. That's when she allegedly jumped on his back and bit off a chunk of his upper left ear, which was later found by officers.
Appearing in court, Caruso said Nebelung was "dangerous" and had bitten his ear "like a dog."
"I begged her three times to let go [of my ear]," Caruso told WJBK. "On the third time, she ripped it off like a dog." Caruso claimed Nebelung smiled at him after attacking.
Caruso was treated on the scene before being transported to a local hospital.
Nebelung, a makeup artist, has been charged with aggravated assault. She is being held in the Macomb County Jail on a $10,000 bond. She's due in court on March 17.
