Meet Sam Hunt: Rising country singer

Sam Hunt is a country music singer-songwriter and former college athlete. He hails from rural Cedartown in Northwest Georgia.

One thing is for sure. Georgia is home to some of country's greatest male artists ranging from Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Kip Moore, Colt Ford, Cole Swindell, among many others.
He was a quarterback football player for the University of Alabama in Birmingham and he moved to Nashville to give songwriting a try, and subsequently he landed a publishing deal, and he has penned songs for such esteemed artists as Kenny Chesney ("Come Over"), as well as Keith Urban's newest single "Cop Car" and Billy Currington's new song "We Are Tonight."
Hunt has shared the stage with country singer Chase Rice this past fall and he is working on his debut studio album, which is due in 2014.
His musical style includes influences in such genres of music as country, pop, urban, folk and R&B.
