His powerful single "Love is Stronger" may be heard on radio stations throughout the country. "I was getting ready to do a record and one of the producers, Jay DeMarcus from Rascal Flatts, listened to a lot of songs and thought this song was a gem. When he played it, I was in tears and I thought it was one of the best songs that I have ever heard," Crabb said.
Crabb is expected to embark on another leg of his "Love is Stronger" tour. "We are very excited about that, since we are ready to take it out on the road. It's going to be different than what we have done before. That's what we are getting ready to do," he said.
One of his proudest moments of his career involved winning the 2012 Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards for "Male Vocalist of the Year" and "Artist of the Year." "I don't know how to describe that feeling," he said. "It was like being a part of the Olympics and being on the podium and that was the deal. For a singer, that's the Olympics of gospel music. I am very thankful. God has been very good to me."
In addition to his musical endeavors, Crabb is in the motion picture Uncommon with actors Erik Estrada and Ben Davies. "Erik and Ben are both great guys and it's nice that they are partnering with a lot of positive films which I think is awesome," he said. "I always wanted to be a part of a film and I always wanted to act. It really stretched you to be yourself, that's the treat to it."
Crabb was also featured in the Nancy Comic strip, which is seen by over 57 million people. "That was so cool," he acknowledged. "Guy Gilchrist is such a great man and I got to meet him at the Grand Ole Opry one year. I couldn't believe how sweet and nice he was. We made friends and I could not believe that would ever happen. I found out when I was getting ready to go to the gym, and some gentlemen told me about it and they were just as excited about it as I was."
The award-winning Christian artist joined actress Roma Downey ("Touched By an Angel") and producer Mark Burnett for a special taping of the Jim Bakker Show on January 29, in an effort to help promote their new film Son of God. "I am so thankful that they are doing that. They are so outspoken about their faith in Hollywood. My hat is off to them. They are both sweet people," he said.
On his future plans, he shared, "It's a very exciting time for my family and my kids and other people. I am getting ready to go on a mission's trip and I will probably do an album on my oldest daughter this year. There are all kinds of things in the making."
