Rucker shared a post on his official Facebook page about his Grammy win. "I'm humbled and honored. Thank you to Bob Dylan, Ketch Secor, Old Crow Medicine Show, everyone at UMG and country radio," he exclaimed.
He bested his fellow nominees Blake Shelton ("Mine Would Be You"), Lee Brice ("I Drive Your Truck"), Miranda Lambert ("Mama's Broken Heart") and Hunter Hayes ("I Want Crazy"). Rucker is signed to Capitol Nashville.
The song "Wagon Wheel" was originally penned by Bob Dylan and Ketch Secor and subsequently recorded by Old Crow Medicine Show for their debut studio album in 2004. Rucker's rendition went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, for the week of April 13, 2013.
