Ronda Rousey beats Miesha Tate at UFC 168 but snubs handshake

Ronda Rousey beat Miesha Tate at UFC 168 but when the ref stopped the fight and Rousey had earned a submission win early in the third, she also earned the ire of the crowd. Moments after it ended Tate proffered her hand but Rousey refused, walking away.

No question the 2008 Olympic judo bronze medalist deserved her bantamweight win in Las Vegas but the crowd did not like the snub. Tate was beaten but she worked hard and was offering her hand in respect.
Rousey and Tate have a long-standing dislike of one another, it came to a head when they were opposing coaches on the reality series 'The Ultimate Fighter.' The fans though disliked her snub so much that after the battle they booed overtop her interview in the ring with TV's Joe Rogan.
Later, Rousey said that while Tate deserves respect as a fighter, she did not earn it as a person, having taken shots at her as a coach during 'The Ultimate Fighter' and at one of the members of her, Rousey's, team.
The move will keep Rousey in the minds of fans and doubtless do nothing but good for her tough-girl reputation. It's the second time she's defeated Tate by submission.
