A Costco store in Southern California was found to have been selling bibles as "fiction." Costco representatives claim the categorization was due to a labeling error.

UPI reports that the error was spotted by Rev. Caleb Kaltenbach, who is a pastor of Discovery Church, as he was looking for gifts at Costco on Friday.
The pastor also took a photo of one of the mislabeled bibles and posted it on his Twitter account, according to Fox News.
WebProNews reports that after Costco learned about the error and started receiving complaints, the company issued a statement on Wednesday saying:
“Costco’s distributor mislabeled a small percentage of the Bibles, however we take responsibility and should have caught the mistake. We are correcting this with them for future distribution. In addition, we are immediately relabeling all mislabeled Bibles. We greatly apologize for this error.”
This is not the first time Costco has come under fire for offensive products sold in its stores. NBC Miami reports that the company had to pull thousands of "Lil' Monkey" dolls from its stores back in 2009 after many consumers believed that the dolls promoted racism.
