According to WWGP 1050 AM, "Springsteen" singer Eric Church will release his much-anticipated fourth album, titled "The Outsiders," on February 11, 2014. He released the title track as his first single on October 22.
The announcement was made ahead of his CMA performance where he will perform "The Outsiders" for the first time, according to Taste of Country. Knowing that the song definitely pushes the boundaries of country music, Church said he has no idea how the audience will react.
"Could be crowd-surfing, could be mosh pits. They could be throwing cans at me," he told The Washington Times.
In addition to "The Outsiders," the album will also include songs such as "Roller Coaster Ride," "The Joint," and a "handful" of love songs, according to Radio.com News. The record itself will contain 11 to 12 songs chosen from the 121 Eric wrote for the new record, according to The Washington Post.
When telling The Washington Post more about the songs on the up-coming record, he said:
“They’re bold. I’m interested to see what people think about them. I always say the songs are mine till the moment we release them, then they’re the fans’ (songs). I’m very anxious. I have a lot of anxiety to see what people think about what we’ve done.”
Eric Church will perform "The Outsiders" on the 47th Annual CMA Awards which will air this Wednesday live at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, according to WWGP 1050 AM. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will return as the hosts.
