Review: Jared Leto films spellbinding music video for 'City of Angels' Special

Thirty Seconds to Mars posted their music video for their new single "City of Angels" on October 29 on their official YouTube channel.

The rock group initially premiered it on October 12 at their concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Their video for "City of Angels," which spans over 11.5 minutes, can easily be summed up as a short film. Front-man Jared Leto served as its director.
Within a matter of a few days, it has generated over 1.1 million views on YouTube.
What makes it an even more appealing video is that it includes first-hand account and stories from several everyday individuals such as celebrity impersonators and homeless people, as well as some of Hollywood's popular celebrities. These celebrity cameos include rapper Kanye West, Oscar nominee James Franco, singer Selena Gomez, actress Lindsay Lohan, actress and singer Juliette Lewis, as well as the band members of Thirty Seconds to Mars themselves, where they reflect on how the city of Los Angeles has helped shape them and subsequently mold them into the people they are today.
The Verdict
Just when you thought that Jared Leto and Thirty Seconds to Mars cannot possible get any better, they prove us wrong with their latest music video for "City of Angels." It is so raw and captivating and it will certainly move people. It garners an A+ rating and a subsequent standing ovation to go along with it.
