What's with the massive animal deaths?

Is there a logical explanation for the number of massive animal deaths that have taken place over the last several years?

From birds to fish to bees and even deer, animals have been mysteriously dying off in large numbers over the last several years. And, while it's chilling enough to see the occasional cases reported in the news such as last week's mysterious bird deaths in Canada, it's even more frightening to see the full list of massive animal deaths within the last three to four years.
These strange events where dozens of birds fall from the sky or thousands of fish wash up on shore have been popping up a lot in the news recently. One of the earliest events that came as a shock to many people and had a large number of Christians running to their bibles, looking up end-times prophecy, was back in 2011. On January 1st, 2011, over 5,000 birds fell from the sky and over 100,000 dead fish washed up along a river in Arkansas.
While many shrugged this event off as a mysterious yet meaningless occurrence, it was just three short days after that, on January 4th, when 3,000 blackbirds fell from the sky in Kentucky.
As if by pattern, three more days passed after the incident in Louisville and another mysterious bird death occurred. On January 7th, 2011, about 8,000 turtle doves dropped dead in Italy. The day before that, on the 6th, 2 million fish were found dead in Maryland.
Throughout the month of January, 2011, massive animal deaths continued, including everything from more birds and fish to bees, cows, and even buffalo. On January 21st, 10,000 cattle were found dead in Vietnam.
The deaths didn't stop at the end of January, however. Similar strange events were reported every month in 2011 and 2012 brought more massive animal deaths as well. In fact, Arkansas saw another massive bird death on New Year's Eve, 2012, just as they saw on New Year's Eve 2011. Around 200 blackbirds were found dead in the state on January 1st, 2012. Then, on the second, thousands of dead fish washed up again, this time in Norway.
This year has been no stranger to these massive deaths either. More massive deaths (mostly fish and birds, but also other animals such as cattle, bees, and sheep) have been reported each month so far this year. Another interesting fact to point out is that all of these strange events have something in common; there have been speculations and predictions as to the cause of each massive animal death, but in all of these cases, nothing was ever confirmed.
So are these massive animal deaths just random coincidences or are they part of something much larger? Is there something going on in the environment we don't know about, something sinister, perhaps? Or perhaps this is part of something of a paranormal or spiritual nature that we can't comprehend or explain. Only time will tell as more of these strange events continue to pop up across the world.
