On June 16, the country group added their first Daytime Emmy award to their mantle for “Outstanding Original Song” for “Good Afternoon,” which is the theme song for ABC’s “Good Afternoon America.”
The tune was co-written by Little Big Town, as well as Brett and Brad Warren (the Warren Brothers), and it was produced by Jay Joyce, who also served as their producer for their latest studio album “Tornado.”
On their Emmy win, Little Big Town stated via a press release, “We are freaking out right now. Winning a Daytime Emmy award is something that we could have never imagined and we are incredibly excited and honored! Thanks so much to Monica Escobedo and Alan Ives at ABC and also our co-writers Brad and Brett Warren.”
Little Big Town is expected to appear live on ABC’s hit talk show “The View” on June 19, where they will perform their latest radio single “Your Side of the Bed,” which they co-wrote with Lori McKenna. They will also appear in the show’s “Ladies Who Lunch” segment, which will feature food that is prepared by Kimberly Schlapman as seen on her GAC cooking show “Kimberly’s Simply Southern.”
Their newest music video for “Your Side of the Bed” has accumulated over one million views on their YouTube channel.
