Suicide attempt: Michael Jackson's daughter cut her wrist

Paris Jackson, the 15-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson, was rushed to a hospital after cutting one of her wrists early Wednesday morning. She posted messages to her million-plus Twitter followers late Tuesday evening, "I wonder why tears are salty?"
Howansky, a long-time publicist for Joe Jackson - Michael Jackson's father and the girl's grandfather - could not confirm reports of a possible drug overdose or multiple cuts on her wrist, according to BBC. But she later said, "She's recovering and, you know, a good thing it wasn't an intensive care situation. She's going to be fine," she said
Paris, Michael Jackson's only daughter, is currently part of a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the concert promoters AEG Live, which the Jackson family says bears responsibility for her father's death from an accidental drug overdose in June 2009.
The BBC's Regan Morris in Los Angeles says Michael Jackson went to great lengths to shield his children from the public eye, shrouding them in masks and baggy clothes so they could not be recognised. He wanted to give them the chance for a more typical childhood than he had as a child star, but after being sheltered for years, Paris Jackson has lived a very public life since his death.
Paris, along with her grandmother, Katherine Jackson, and her brothers, Prince and Blanket, are suing AEG Live for liability in Michael Jackson's 2009 drug overdose death. Paris and Prince are listed as witness in the Los Angeles trial and have been expected to testify in the wrongful death trial later this month. Jackson trial lawyer Kevin Boyle spoke to reporters outside of court Wednesday afternoon, saying Paris can decide if she will testify during their part of the case, but AEG Live has subpoenaed her, calling her a key witness
New York Post said paramedics received a call for help at about 1:15 a.m. to the Calabasas home of Jackson's mom and three children. The caller reported an overdose and paramedics rushed the patient to a local hospital. Its sources close to the family confirmed that patient was The King of Pop's 15-year-old daughter Paris. She's resting comfortably in a Southern California hospital today and will survive. Grandma Katherine Jackson said Paris is a sensitive teen who has had to endure tragedy in her young life.
Paris posted messages to her million-plus Twitter followers late Tuesday evening, cited by CNN:
"i wonder why tears are salty?"
"yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
"now it looks as though they're here to stay"
Fox News says it's not the first time Paris Jackson tries to kill herself. Jackson’s biological mom Debbie Rowe, who was given visitation rights while Katherine Jackson took full custody after Michael’s death, confirmed the suicide attempt. Paris attempted suicide because she was upset that she was being prohibited from going to rock musician Marilyn Manson’s Los Angeles concert on Thursday night.
