A full-length preview trailer has been released in preparation for the spring release of the Japanese anime series called “Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Bride.” This is the second season, also known as a sequel, to the anime series called “Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Girls” which aired from September 2010 until December 2010. The anime series is adapted from the light novel series of the same name which is written by Akira Suzuki. It was also adapted into a few manga series with some of them still ongoing.
Since this is the second season of Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Girls, it would seem that the story continues from the main story. The main story, taking place in an alternate history of Japan and still under the rule of the Tokugawa Shogunate (meaning the Meiji Restoration never took place), focuses on a young male high school student Muneakira Yagyu who is granted the secret ability of creating “Master Samurai” upon kissing this girl who fell from the school. He ends up getting surrounded by a harem of female characters who have been made into Master Samurai. Most of the characters, mainly the female characters, are directly named after historical figures in the Sengoku Era which is known as Japan's Age of Warring States.
Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Bride is due to be aired nationwide across Japan sometime in April.
