After many grueling months on the campaign trail, along with touring the devastation Hurricane Sandy left behind, President Obama returns to the White House Wednesday.

Social media became an integral part of the 2012 election. As reported by Digital Journal earlier this year, YouTube set up The YouTube Politics Hub, a "one stop destination" for election coverage. Both President Obama and Gov. Romney used Facebook pages, as well as Twitter accounts too keep supporters updated.
It appears as if the White House, and the President, plan to use social media to keep the American people informed on news and events. President Obama's return to the White House is no exception.
As the newly re-elected President of the United States arrives at the White House at 5:20 p.m. ET, live coverage can be seen on a variety of social media outlets. Those interested in watching can view Marine One landing on the south lawn on Facebook with the White House Live App. YouTube and Ustream will also carry the event live. Those not near a computer can also watch via iPhone and Android apps.
After arriving back at the White House, the President will have a difficult job ahead of him. But as he stated in his speech Tuesday night, he is ready for the work ahead, saying:
"Whether I earned your vote or not, I have listened to you, I have learned from you, and you’ve made me a better president. And with your stories and your struggles, I return to the White House more determined and more inspired than ever about the work there is to do and the future that lies ahead."
