The British Freedom Party (the political wing of the EDL) reported that Tommy Robinson (real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon) “is locked up on the main wing of Wandsworth prison in London. He is in close proximity to Muslim prisoners, who are shouting various threats against him.”
Complaint letter
Britain First, which describes itself as ‘a patriotic political movement’, says “We call upon all of our members and supporters to send a complaint to apply pressure to the High Sheriff to remove Mr Robinson from harm’s way.”
In a statement BF says “The government has a duty of care to all prisoners, not to go out of their way to place them in potential danger for vindictive or political reasons.”
The complaint is addressed to the High Sheriff of Greater London Ms U Banerjee CBE.
The proforma letter of complaint that is sent electronically via the BF website, states “The eyes of the world are now on YOU and the British legal system and prison regime in regards to this man’s personal safety and well being.”
So far 967 complaint letters have been sent.

The legend of Tommy Robinson
Britain First is not connected to the EDL, but patriotic organisations have come out in support of a man that has roused the British spirit with his brave, Churchill-like defiance, despite severe beatings and numerous credible death threats.
Tommy Robinson has stood up against Militant Islam and against the Islamification of Britain - something that many see the British government as appeasing and even encouraging.
“No surrender!” has become the well-known catch phrase of the EDL, which he leads.
