Winner of Canada's Handyman Challenge debuts alluring new venture

Winner of HGTV’s Canada’s Handyman Challenge, Mark Falvai this week formally debuted his latest business venture. With a new website, Facebook page, and Twitter handle, Allure Tackle was officially reeled into prime time.

Designing fishing gear since childhood, the launch of Allure Tackle was a dream come true for Qualicum Beach BC’s Mark Falvai. With well over 150 designs in his current repertoire, Falvai launched Allure Tackle to bring his well-known craftsmanship to the masses. Debuting Allure Tackle with eye-catching fishing flashers, Falvai hints that current designs are just a tease of the many tackle products yet to come. His desk and workshop are a kaleidoscope of yet to be revealed fishing gear designs. A simple cloning of Falvai is all it would take to bring his drawing board designs into clear focus. Plans are in the works to offer custom corporate fishing flashers. From custom designs for fishing charters to thank you gifts for remote access fishing resorts, the opportunities are endless for the creative fishing gear designs of Canada’s twinkle-eyed handyman.

Following a two-month stint at Parksville BC’s Craig Street Summer by the Sea market, Falvai plans to bring online ordering to Allure Tackle in order to meet current demand. With pre-Christmas sales just around the corner, the next months promise to be busy ones for Canada’s creative carpenter. Vancouver Island’s infamous Kris Kringle craft show in Parksville will help bring Falvai’s fishing designs to an entirely new audience. With a wide range of graphics available, gift shoppers are sure to find the perfect tackle accessory for the fishing enthusiast on their holiday shopping list. With so much work to do, Allure Tackle will be busily ramping up production while other tackle manufacturers are winding down for the winter months.
Falvai is no stranger to busy times. Having just raised over $150,000 as a member of Team iConquer for the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer, 2012 has been a busy year for this master craftsman and entrepreneur. After being named the winner of Canada’s Handyman Challenge in February, Falvai went directly from filming, to training for the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer. Fitting in designing, manufacturing, and marketing fishing gear while training likely seems like child’s play to this busy artisan. As a work-from-home father of four children, including 1 ½ year old twins, Falvai is no stranger to being pulled in multiple directions at once. His multi-tasking strategy seems to be paying off though; his Allure Tackle flashers have been an instant hit with Vancouver Island locals and visitors alike. If local response to Allure Tackle is any indicator, the remainder of 2012 looks to be incredibly busy for Falvai. He just might find himself yearning for those bygone days of long haul cross-country cycle training.
