The FBI and DC police are investigating an incident that occurred on Friday. An SUV crashed into a building located in downtown Washington.
Authorities believe that the SUV intentionally crashed into the office building. Gwendolyn Crump, a police spokeswoman, said that the SUV crashed into an office building located at Connecticut and L Streets, N.W. on Friday around 8PM.
According to
Fox, Crump said that the driver of the SUV walked away with minor injuries. Crump went onto say that the SUV did not belong to the driver and that the driver was apprehended.
According to the
Washington Post, the vehicle's interior may have been doused with gasoline, and the driver was doused in gasoline too, and it was done on purpose. Crump said that those reports were being looked into.
According to
CBS, Crump said that the office building is not that far away from the White House, as it is only about a mile away from it.
Crump said that the building is also located near a bunch of other offices, restaurants as well as a variety of retail shops.
