Review: Cookbook 'Bite Me Too!' — Every kitchen should have Special
Those saucy sisters Julie Albert and Lisa Gnat are at it again with "Bite Me Too!," their follow-up to their first cookbook "Bite Me!"
Whenever I check out a new cookbook I first look for the chocolate chip cookies recipes. If a book bypasses this treat I skip over it. In Bite Me Too! I was in luck with two recipes!
The cookbook offers great menu options that will please the kiddies, make your partner think you love them the most and your friends wonder when you had time to ship out to cooking school! From the quirky little tips and notes to the QR codes take readers to more details on the Internet this is a needed book in your kitchen!
While flipping though the cookbook looking for side dish ideas the Rosemary Roasted Baby Potatoes caught my eye. Must potato recipes forget about folks like me that opt for those tiny little spuds. Having a simple recipe to bring a weekly staple up a tad makes me a winner.
Most of the recipes are healthy masterpieces but one, The BLD Burger is the makings of a tasty heart attack! With a grilled cheese bun, sunny side up egg and hamburger patty this one has every meal covered in one! According to the book the recipe came to Lisa's hubby in a dream and Julie's hubby jumped on the bandwagon!
The girls know how to party and want to make sure that you do to. In the RSVP Me chapter are great ideas for parties that you can quickly put together including song playlists. That playlist may be a bit unusual. For example for the Surf (On Home) Turf Beach Party one of the suggested titles is The Brady Bunch's "It's a Sunshine Day."
Bite Me Too! is a great read and a practical cookbook. It's all worth the $29.95 sticker price. Check out the sister's website
