Christina Marie Lopez, 42, was sentenced to three years in jail after she pleaded guilty to attempted use of a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct.
According to the Daily Mail, last December Lopez went to the police. She told police that her daughter was working as a stripper at the Presley's Playhouse in Salem, regardless of her being underage.
However, when police conducted an investigation they found CCTV footage of Lopez watching her daughter perform in the club. The video also showed Lopez handing her daughter cash while she was on stage working.
According to CBS, Lopez's daughter, Nicole Madril, said that her mother was not in the club to watch her work.
Madril said that her mother came into the club to give her cash so she could buy something to eat. Lopez said she has even urged Madril to stop dancing and she gave her daughter money for food and medicine.
According to NewsTrackIndia, Lopez plead guilty on Wednesday.
Lopez received not only three years in jail but 3 years of post-prison supervision. She will also have to register as a sex offender.
